Last minute poetry

The 15 th day of NaPoWriMo has almost passsed, we’re halfway through April and the poetry challenge. I’m not doing fantasticly am I? I’ve missed days, substituted new poems for previously written but unpublished work, not really put in the effort I should have done.
Tonight’s poem is on the subject of spring.

New seeds

Damp earth waits for delivery, a carefully sealed paper packet.
Rip, pour, hard little seeds nestle in my palm.
Mixed salad leaves, in potentia, flat, round, nobbly and bobbly.
Spread them in the pot, sink fingers in soil. Curl, roll, scant soil in place.
Pray they’ll survive, pray they’ll thrive, new life, welcomed at Easter Full Moon.
