My Review
This book was sent to me via Faye at Authoright, who are running the blog tour for this and another book (which I will be reviewing tomorrow), in return for an honest review.
Something new for a change, children’s picture books. There won’t be many of these and the ones I receive will be donated either to a local nursery or to friends/relatives with young children. Obviously, I don’t have children, and never want them, but I do value early reading in children. Get them young, and teach them the value of words and books.
I think this would be a good classroom book, the words are more advanced than ‘dog’ and ‘cat’. There’s ‘queasy’ for a start, and valuable lessons about caring for your tools, like the scissors and pencils. It is illustrated in pastel shades with cheery characters and written in rhyme. Very appealing. It’s cute. and I think it will stretch early years vocabulary.
