NaNoWriMo update 3
I’m taking a day off today to be sociable, and because I really needed to get out of the house. I’ll probably start writing again in a while but while I have internet access I thought I’d let you all know how the novel was going.
Strange things happen when I procrastinate instead of write
Take yesterday morning for example.
Instead of spending the morning writing my novel I decided to do some light reading,Continue reading “Strange things happen when I procrastinate instead of write”
NaNoWriMo 2013 Update 2
Afternoon, I thought, since I’m visiting Ellie and have access to the net (Thank you Lellie!) I’d tell you all how my novel was going.
Truth
First NaNoWriMo update of 2013
I’m doing quite well. Friday got off to an excellent start with over 3000 words written but then work at the weekend with all its attendent exhaustion meant I managed to write less than 2000 words all weekend.
Monday and Tuesday saw a renewed effort and another 6900+ words added. This morning, before going to college I managed to write just over 500 words.

Review: ‘Thor: The Dark World’ and ‘Frankenstein – National Theatre Live production 2011’
You may be wondering why I’m writing reviews at one in the morning on 1st November when I clearly should be having an early night so that I can be up good and early to get the first couple of thousand words written on my NaNo novel in the morning. I have a legitimate excuse: I went to see a film and then a recording of a play at the cinema this afternoon/evening. It’s been an exhausting day but before I go to sleep I’m going to write my reviews.
I give up part 2 – The Reviewing Hiatus begins
I’m not in the mood to read ARCs today, I’ve decided. I want to write instead.
So I’m taking a break from reviewing until the beginning of December. I had planned to start on Friday but to be honest I can’t settle down to reading and I want to write. I have my NaNoWriMo from 2012 to go through and do a bit of work on. I haven’t even looked at it since January; it’s time to do some work on it and I know just what I want to write.

After a joyous reunion all is turned upside down by Tobias’s unexpected arrival. The Gold King manipulates all concerned and Eveline is once more exiled, this time to Whitechapel. Her mission is to seek out the Blue King’s ‘maker’ – the person designing and creating his weapons and war machines.
I give up
I said earlier I wasn’t going to give up on the two ARCs from Net Galley that I found difficult to read?
I lied.
After spending some time this morning attempting to get in to them I just couldn’t make any progress. I got so bored I procrastinated by adding a Twitter widget to my blog and created a new bookshelf in my Adobe Digital Editions.
The books have been moved to this new ‘unreadable’ bookshelf. For the sake of the authors reputations I wont name them or the books.
Time to read the next book and watch old episodes of Highlander.
