Evening all. Have some daffodils.

Anyone see the eclipse this morning?

For some reason I was up and about by eight, so I did. While I was hanging my first load of washing out to dry and eating breakfast. I really need a table and chairs in the back garden for just such occasions. Alfresco breakfasts I mean, eclipses are too rare to get tables and chairs for.

The eclipse this morning was only a partial one here in Lincolnshire, and it was obscured by cloud but I still got a decent view of the moon crossing the sun. The change in temperature was impressive; I went from sweating to freezing in a few minutes. It was quite eery as the sky darkened, like the was a storm coming, a storm that never arrived.

So, busy morning of pottering around the garden, cleaning the house and then shopping meant I had a lazy afternoon reading. My back was hurting too much for me to do any extra physical stuff. I did sow some seeds though to start off indoors. Peas and beans. I’ll plant them out later in the year. I need more compost and canes first.

I felt better this morning than I’ve felt in a long time; I can’t decide whether it’s the medication finally taking effect, the general loveliness of the day, or the upcurve in my depression cycles. Either way, I’m not complaining, it’s good to have a day where I don’t feel like crying for no reason, once in a while.
