I am not a happy bunny right now
Because of this news story:

I’m well aware that by sharing this on my personal blog, and actually daring to have an opinion I could face disciplinary action. However, this is my blog so I’ll say what I damn well please. What I have written is my truth.
If any of the management are reading this, stop now and go think about what you’ve done/are about to cause. If you really think the misery you’re causing is acceptable then I pity you.
30 Days of Creative Writing: Day 30
Good morning. Well done, you’ve put up with my pseudo-creative ramblings for 30 days. This is the last in the series. I’ve chosen an exercise that appears in ‘term three’ of ‘Back to Creative Writing School’ by Bridget Whelan.
The subject under discussion is the literary genre of magical reality. Or, magic for grown-ups as the author herself described the genre in her section title. The exercise is to choose a character from from a given list and then give them unexpected wings. How do they react? What are the wings like?
30 Days of Creative Writing: Day 29
For today’s exercise I’ve chosen another photo prompt. This one is called ‘The Journey’ and shows the view out of a car window. In addition there is the question what’s ahead and how does it relate to the morning news.
30 Days of Creative Writing: Day 28
Good afternoon, after spending the morning reading, I’ve decided to do some writing. Today’s exercise concerns dialogue in fiction.

30 Days of Creative Writing: Day 27

30 days of Creative Writing: Day 24
I’m back! After feeling particularly awful for a couple of days and pretty much incapable of writing anything creative, I’m feeling almost human again.
Another post about my illness. You can stop reading now.
I’m considering spending the day in bed, hoping the anxiety that’s currently choking me goes away and I stop wanting to cry. There’s no reason for either, it’s just how I feel today. I have things to do; I should be working on my short story, or reading one of the three books I need to review, or writing ky next ’30 days…’ post, or going to college to finish the assessment I started yesterday, or apply for that lab job in Leeds I’ve seen advertised, or eat something sensible, or take my dogs for a long run, or…you get the picture.
It’s really frustrating that I have things I need to get done. But I just don’t want to leave my room. My room is safe, everything else is scary. There are people outside; I’ll have to speak to them or otherwise interact.

Things I love and hate about blogging
I started blogging about two and a half years ago to give myself more opportunities in my writing. It’s been an interesting adventure, especially since I got a phone that has decent internet access and I can keep my blog up to date.
30 Days of Creative Writing:Day 21
Today’s exercise is about humour in writing, specifically parody. We’re going to parody a dictionary. I’ve been given a list of words and have to define them a la Ambrose Bierce’s ‘The Devil’s Dictionary’.
