Books that make me think: Feminist books

Hello all you lovely people, having a good weekend? I am; I have mostly been sleeping, visiting friends and staying up late reading. Because I’m a grown-up and I can do that sort of thing if I want.

Actually, reading into the early hours is my default state and has been for about twenty years. There’s a reason I’m always tired…well, in truth it’s one of the reasons I’m always tired.

W H Smith’s: Enforcing gender stereotypes for generations; Or, actually some girls really don’t like pink.

I went for a trip to town at the weekend; I needed some canvases and to look for a job. All very boring, but something I saw while in the shopping centre irritated me.

A questionable choice for Women’s Minister?

In my attempt to distract myself from the pain in my head on Friday night (or possibly early morning Saturday – it’s all a bit of a blur) I had a look through the ‘Freshly Pressed’ tag and found an interesting post from the blog ‘Another Angry Woman’. I went to have a look at the full blog and the first post I read, at the top of the blog, was from 9th April, concerning the new Minister for Women, Nicky Morgan, who was recently appointed by the Prime Minister.
