Musing on Aliens 3

Aliens 3 has an interesting concept; the prison planet that is the setting is home to twenty-five prisoner-monks who are all described as rapists, murderers, child molesters, all the worst of humanity. The prisoners are described as being YY.

Going to the doctor was a waste of time

Went to the docs about my relapse, waited half an hour, got told what I was feeling was ‘normal’.

That was really worth a week’s worth of lost sleep, anxiety and exhaustion.

Not.

After yesterday’s eruption, my mind is clear

Other than not sleeping well, or at all, last night and having an horrendously vile cold that won’t give in, I’m feeling better this afternoon.

I think I’ll just keep quiet from now on

Jobcentre Experiences

It’s been some time since I had to make use of the JCP’s services, and this time round it was relatively painless.

I think I need to go back to the doctors

Things are a bit…unstable right now. And so am I.

Oh, by the way, my family probably shouldn’t read this post, for their own peace of mind.

Sciencey LOL of the Week

This made me laugh but also made me slightly uneasy.

There’s a snobbish tone to it that I don’t like. I think it’s probably bad for science, and the image of the science community to be considered snobby. If people think that they will be discriminated against for not being ‘cultured’ enough then they might be put off going in to scientific disciplines.

Opinions?
