It’s the middle of August already! I scared myself this morning by working out how long I’d got until the two concerts I’m going to in Nottingham in October. Seven weeks for one (Reckless Love) and ten weeks for the other (HIM).

So, I’m back with the second chapter of my werewolf adaptation of ‘Pride and Prejudice’. I didn’t get any feedback about the first part but I’m still going to type up the next bit. I haven’t actually written more than two chapters though.

2nd anniversary of blogging celebratory post
Good evening ladies and gentlemen, I’ve just realised I’ve been blogging on wordpress for exactly two years now. Things have changed a bit since I started writing my posts; for a start I can now update my blog from my phone instead of waiting until i could get my laptop to a WiFi connection.
I used to mainly write fiction but that has changed in the last year or so, now I mainly publish my book reviews with the odd music review thrown in for good measure. My writing has gone from something I do occasionally to entertain myself to being the activity that occupies the majority of my time and energy.
Now if only I could make a living from it…
Well, I’m going now, I’m trying to watch a film with my friends,

Review: ‘Tethers Book One of the Tethers Trilogy’ by Jack Croxall

Karl and Esther live in a small village in Lincolnshire in the nineteenth century. Karl is the son of a German architect, dead for many years, and is brought up by his mother and aunt. Esther’s family runs the village pub. They are best friends. By sheer accident (and Karl’s inability to listen to his mother’s warning) they get drawn into the machinations of a secret organisation trying to find an artefact which will allow them to see the future. Travelling by yacht and narrow boat they make it to Nottingham and help interrupt the conspirator’s plans, gaining, and losing, several new friends along the way.

I’m ONLY Reading…
Reading.
Many people seem to view it as a synonym for “doing nothing.” Or “waiting for something more interesting to occupy my time.” And so they think nothing of interrupting… it’s happened to all of us at one time or another. Sometimes it’s out in public, sometimes it’s in our own homes. It’s always irritating.
Jaime ranted about this problem here. Kelly ranted about it here. I’m sure other bloggers have ranted about it as well, but those are the two posts that caught my attention recently, and now it’s my turn.
(Only I won’t be using gifs.)
To be fair, my husband doesn’t do this nearly as much as he used to. Also in his defense, I read a lot, so if he has something he legitimately needs to talk to me about (as opposed to, “hey look, a funny picture on the internet…”) I don’t mind…
