Okay folks, Michelle pulled a blinder yesterday and now I have a cover for Fire Betrayed.

In the past it wasn’t unusual for books to be published by subscription, where an author would solicit funds to pay for the publication of their book, in return the subscribers would receive a copy of the book and their name in the book. A list of subscribers was included. This idea has modernised, with sites like Patreon and Go Fund Me helping creatives raise funds to produce their work.

Nothing much, I’ve finished another edit of Fire Betrayed and sent it for reading by my beta readers. It’s getting there slowly, but I want to polish it some more. I expect to be sworn at again.

There’s a Facebook group called Book Connectors, run by Anne Cater, that I’m a part of. Anne occasionally sends me books to review for blog tours.

On the 28th Timothy Bateson is hosting an Author Spotlight for me on his blog. He shared his application form on Book Connectors so I thought I’d apply and he got back to me to say he’d post it on 28th August, so I’m chuffed. Hopefully it’ll generate some interest in Hidden Fire.
And I don’t get weekends off. Unfortunately, this is a consequence of my brain being weird.

As you know, I’m writing a series of novellas to go with the FIRE Series, called ‘Tales from Erce’. The first draft of Bridas’ Justice is complete and I’m on the second draft of Charley’s War. I’ll be sitting down this evening to work on editing Fire Betrayed and hopefully more of the second draft of Charley’s War.
I have started Letters from Umar. Unfortunately, I need to finish writing Fire Storm before I can go much further with Letters from Umar because I need to work out the time line. And where everyone is. I need my maps, charts and timelines for books three and four.
Just kill me now.
Please.
Okay, I’m joking. Well, mostly. Don’t kill me, I’m too busy. Novels to write, books to review, that sort of thing.
